The Great Escape

The wonderful world of designing flowers is that for a short time you can escape into the lush petals and soft feathery foliage of your design. A world with no rules or boundaries. A world with no judgement or criticism. A world only with the hues of your heart. A place where you can dive into the middle of a tulip and dance on its pistil, paint with its pollen. Your mind can swim through the tissue like petals of a sea of ranunculus. Swimming so fast that the feeling is of little fingers caressing over your face. In this short time the escape to different worlds depend on the composition of your next design and your imagination.

Blushing Easter Eggs

I made it super simple this year with only having two cups of dye. Three drops of red food coloring for one and seven red drops for the other creating this wonderful palette from blush pink to a bright watermelon color. Using a simple gold metallic marker I drew dots, stripes, arrows, banners, a face, a paper airplane whizzing around, spots, scales, cheetah print and a feather. This pretty eclectic variety of drawings and patterns makes for the most interesting Easter Eggs.

Thimble Succulent Planters

These itty bitty succulents are planted in sewing thimbles. Why? Because what else are you supposed to plant teeny tiny echeveria in?

Life Moves Pretty Fast

Life Moves Pretty Fast if you don't stop and look around once in awhile you could miss it.
