A Sister's Harvest

October 17th was probably the best day of 2009. My sister Nicole wed in Oceanside, CA. Me and my 5 other siblings all flew out to the west coast to be with her for her big day. It had been the first time to the west coast for most of us.
Almost immediately I noticed the vegetation, tropical flowers, and wide spread varieties and species native to Southern California. My system was practically on overload. I just knew I had to harvest some of the wonderful fruits and foliage from the manor we were renting. Well, I did just that and here's the proof.

This orange tree (above) became part of the beautiful centerpieces (below).
This delicately creeping smilax (above) was added to my sister's bridal bouquet (below).

Faces of Halloween

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. I guess because the creativity is endless. The spookier the better I always say. Carving pumpkins has always been a family tradition for us. We love carving, scooping, cutting and creating the most interesting Jack~o~Lanterns. Here's a few of my favorite.
